Maria Kuzma-Kuzniarska

I received the BSc and MSc degree from The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdansk and the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland. Later, I performed postgraduate research towards a PhD degree in the School of Biological Sciences, University of Liverpool, UK as Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the KIDSTEM Marie Curie Research Training Network. I was investigating the potential of stem cells, mainly mesenchymal stem cells, to generate renal tissue ex vivo. I have expertise in both stem cell biology and kidney development. Recently, I joined Cereghini’s lab as a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher in the BOLD network. My project is focused on elucidating the mechanism of cytogenesis in kidneys. I am working on the mouse model of Maturity Onset Diabetes of Young 5/Renal Cysts and Diabetes syndrome developed in the lab.
