I grew up in Beijing, China. I obtained my B.sc (H) degree in zoology from university of Delhi, India. Then I did my M.sc degree in bioinformatics from university of Exeter, UK. My master project was about gene expression analysis of a headless zebrafish mutant (ichabod) by using next generation sequencing based high throughput super SAGE, aim to find out genes that are important for brain development.

I joined Monogenic Diabetes Group at peninsula medical school University of Exeter working as a bioinformatician since Dec 2011. I’m currently working on detection of CNVs by using next generation exome sequencing data from a group of neonatal diabetes patients. My research interests are Bioinformatics, next generation sequencing data analysis and machine learning algorithm.
